Molinaseca, is a suggestive village with a medieval flavor and traveler’s path<\/b>, which occupies a fertile valley full of fruit trees, meadows and orchards, crossed by the river Meruelo of crystal clear waters and magnificent trout. The name by which we know this town today, has its origin in the existence of several mills on the river Meruelo<\/b>, which were built on the course of the river and due to changes in the riverbed of this left them temporarily dry. This small town now has almost X centuries of history and is an obligatory stop on the Camino de Santiago<\/b> for pilgrims traveling to Galicia in search of the Jubilee.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The Camino de Santiago crosses the town through the typical and monumental Calle Real, which starts at the Pilgrims Bridge<\/b>. and reaches its end at the foot of the old stone cross, two unmistakable symbols of our Jacobean tradition, as are the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sorrows, patron saint of the town and our parish church of San Nicol\u00e1s de Bari as well as the Hermitage of San Roque, today transformed into a pilgrims’ hostel.<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We must not forget to the importance that water has had in our village<\/b>It is also worth mentioning the Fluvial Swimming Pool in the Meruelo River, which attracts a large number of bathers in the summer season and is a breath of fresh air for hikers after the long, dry walk from the Maragater\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Our economy is based on tourism with an important network of hostels, hotels, inns<\/b>, rural houses, restaurants, meat companies dedicated to the elaboration of sausages and wine cellars<\/b>.<\/p>\n

From this land of the Bierzo region<\/span> are born high quality raw materials, which combined with the tradition and knowledge inherited from our ancestors is possible to work wonders such as the tasty botillo, wine<\/span>, roasted peppers, reineta apple, pear conference, chestnuts and sausages.<\/p><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
